OUR PROGRAM
Purposeful play,
thoughtfully paced
We use a variety of exercises, games and experiences to build focus, self-control and confidence. For the youngest puppies we begin with tactile and sound-based experiences and simple skills and movement. Puppies then progress to more complex skills, more intensive experiences, and more challenging strength- and balance-building activities.
After receiving their 12-week-old round of vaccinations, puppies begin meeting and interacting with dogs. Throughout this process, distraction is gradually increased.
Your puppy will train in our large indoor play area and outdoors in both our puppy-specific and Canine Montessori yards. We're always monitoring temperature and conditions to keep your puppy healthy — while getting them as much outside time as possible.

What Your Puppy Will Learn
Six areas of development, woven through every day at school.
First Steps
Handling, crate work, name recognition, luring, settle and confidence building.
Basic Obedience
Sit, down, stay, recall, up, off, leave it and drop it.
Sensory Experiences
Sound desensitization, grooming, wet things, slippery things and wobbly things.
Physical Challenges
Balance boards, climbing, narrow things, inclines, stairs and obstacles.
Polite Behaviors
Door etiquette, greeting people, greeting dogs and appropriate play.
Fun and Relaxation
Sniffing, toys, herding balls, flowers, play, exploring and well-earned naps.
WHAT TO EXPECT FROM US
Every day, in good hands!
40 minutes of training + an hour of experiences, daily.
Training time is divided into multiple short work periods based on your puppy's age and ability to focus.
Daily progress reports & homework
We'll email a progress report and photo every day, plus an individualized homework assignment at pick-up. We're also there at drop-off and pick-up for any questions.
Safe, comfortable days
We monitor the temperature and outdoor conditions to keep your puppy comfortable, and we get them as much outside time as we safely can. You’ll pick up a physically, mentally and emotionally satisfied puppy, eager to show off new skills.

Your puppy's success is a team effort. Here's how you help us get the very best results.
Regular Attendance
Our Tuesday/Thursday program, with a family class on Saturdays, is designed to maximize learning and growth. It's crucial your puppy attends each session.
Follow-up on Homework
At pick-up we'll share a specific homework assignment based on your puppy's progress. Completing it meaningfully increases their success.
Communication
Let us know how things are going at home. We can focus training on the skills you need — or refer you to a behavior-focused home trainer.
Patience
Enjoy every second with your new puppy. It takes time, repetition and lots of love to help a puppy reach their full potential.
